Yes you read the title right. Despite living in Texas and how mild our last couple of winters have been we ended up with snow. It seems we had a bit of a polar vortex hit the US and along with it came harsh temperatures, sleet, and snow. From what I heard we had record breaking temperatures and snow here. I'd believe it, Wednesday morning it got down to nine degrees at one point ! I had never seen so much snow here in my life, around four to five inches.
To give proof and show I'm not a liar here's some pictures I took Tuesday morning during some of the heaviest snow fall.
Here's a view from my front porch.
Mom's car covered in snow.
Back of the house.
Part of what used to be a garden at my grandmothers house.
Front of the house from across the road.
Old wood holding shed, side of the house.
Woods by the house.
Side of the front yard.
Other side of the house.
Former pen for my old dog Daisy.
Also tried to make a snow man, looked more a like a snow mound than anything.
In reality I didn't even make it that far...
Thanks to all of it I didn't have to work for three whole days, a real blessing from The Lord right there ! Due to the rising and falling of temperatures of the next few days after the snow and icy slush from it didn't really fully melt until Saturday.
It was overall a really neat experience even if it was insanely cold.
